Group dynamics is an important tool for leaders and for the companies’ human resource department. It is used for observing people’s behaviour in specific cases and
for working certain characteristics within a group of people.
When group dynamics is applied to learning, it helps to transmit and absorb an idea or concept through relationship, reflection and exchange of experiences.
What characterizes a dynamic is the fact that it has to be led by a moderator. This is so
because there is no right or wrong concerning these experiences and someone is needed to mediate the discussions or to transmit the message that is very often implicit in the aim of the game.
Another aspect to be explored within the dynamic is also to make clear to the people how they have been acting and how their behaviour can affect result reaching, whether it concerns productivity or relationships. Or even how individuals usually act in a certain way without necessarily being aware of the impact of said behavior on the atmosphere as they are completely led by the invisible cord of the correct way to act and feel within certain organizational cultures. This behavior and attitude may have worked in the past, but currently needs to be updated and adapted to new values. |
