In February, Setec Consulting Group’s president, Marcio Abraham, went to Washington, U.S.A to show the Climate Game to the World Bank. This game was developed as a form of awareness and learning of gas carbonic emission and global warming. It took two months to develop Climate Game. It was managed by Jeannette Galbinski and both Paulo Sousa and Ricardo Bonacorci took part in its development. Through this team’s interdisciplinary integration and professionals from the environmental department, the games department and innovation department, the game was created and developed. The main point of this project is in the game’s innovative dynamic, which combines cooperation and competition. Climate Game is a game in which the players are challenged to save the world from over heating, through negotiation, strategy and diplomacy. It is both a game of cooperation and competition. Thus, while there is a collective effort to reduce carbonic gas emission from the planet, each player seeks individual victory to be the first to zero the emission of carbonic gas. After the project’s approval, The World Bank purchased 350 units of the game which will be delivered at the institution’s Endomarketing department. Furthermore, Setec was invited to market the game at Carbon Expo and to be present at its fair in May, in Barcelona, Spain. Carbon Expo is the largest carbon credit fair in the world.
